DANIEL & NATASHA.
GOOD MORNING LISBON!

Daniel and Natasha chose the morning for a walk and a photo session in Lisbon. Just when the city is waking up.

Why do I like to do photo sessions in the morning?

The morning is the time when you can be alone with the city just like the only spectator in a theatre, when your own 5 senses perceive the unfolding "here and now". This is the reason why I love to walk in the morning (even if I have to wake up at 4.30 a.m.). This time of the day is very inspiring, when the brain is not filled up with the analytics and tasks and everything I see (and photograph), I see (and photograph) with my heart. This is the main reason.

Now, the obvious reason. We can do our photo session in the places that are too crowded during the day. For example, the famous elevator of Santa Justa, the Rossio Square, the riverside at the Commerce Square. We can even catch the yellow tram almost empty and take a few photos inside.

If the photo session is going to be in the evening, I usually suggest different spots. For you and for myself, I want to avoid the stress of squeezing between people in the crowded streets. (Well, to be honest, it's kind of fun to go to the busy spots, dance to the music of the street musicians and drink a sparkling wine in one of the most crowded belvederes of Lisbon.)

The morning light is delightful! Just like the evening light. But there are locations that look especially amazing in the morning and don't have the same magic in the evening.

To have a photo session in Lisbon in the early morning is not so difficult. Lisbon is located at a latitude where sun rises at 6.15 a.m. the earliest (in June). So, depending on where you are staying and in which locations you would prefer to do the photo session, we can start at 6.30 a.m. or even at 7.00 a.m.

As you could see, I love early mornings and love to shoot at this time of the day (and I am very happy when my clients ask me if this option is available). However, there is a catch. If it's difficult for you to wake up in the morning and you don't feel good the whole day because of it (or you just don't want to wake up early being on vacations), it  may affect the photos. In this case, a photo session in the early morning is not for you. Then I will suggest different locations (but not any less beautiful!)
