The day was especially hot. The venue was located right by the sea and it brought a bit of fresh air. Carina and Zé invited me to take photos of the wedding ceremony and a little bit of the dinner. It was mostly reportage with just a 15-minute photo session for the couple at the beach...
However, I find it highly important to start shooting from the very beggining, from "the getting ready part" of the day. It is the time when the bride and groom are surrounded by closest family and friends. It is not just photos of the wedding dress beautifully hung or the groom's shoes being put on. It is pictures of your mom preparing sandwiches for everyone, your little sister trying your wedding shoes, your dad seeing his daughter as a bride and not being able to hide tears. It is you between your friends having a glass of champagne as a remedy to calm down. This is the initial part of the story of the wedding day.
...I came a bit earlier to the restaurant and could catch some photos of the final preparations, just before the first guests arrived.
Это был особенно жаркий августовский день, и спасал только тот факт, что место церемонии и ресторан находились прямо на берегу океана. Карина и Жозе пригласили меня снимать свадебную церемонию и немного моментов праздничного ужина — это была преимущественно репортажная съемка с 15-минутной парной фотосессией на берегу океана.
Должна сказать, что я нахожу очень важным начать съемку с самого начала, то есть со сборов жениха и невесты. Сборы — это не фото свадебного платья, красиво висящего на люстре, не фото того, как жених обувает ботинки. Это фотографии мамы, нарезающей бутерброды для всех, фото маленькой сестренки, примеряющей ваши свадебные туфли, фото папы, который впервые видит свою дочь невестой и не может сдержать слёзы. Это вы со своими друзьями с бокалами шампанского, эффективного средства немного расслабиться перед церемонией. Это — начальная часть истории свадебного дня.
...Я пришла чуть пораньше и застала заключительные моменты подготовки прямо перед приходом первых гостей.
