Angela & Leon's wedding was one of the brightest weddings I've ever shot. It was an international wedding. I call it "international" not just because the couple and their guests were from different countries, but also because the ancestry of the bride and the groom is a mixture of histories of different nations.
But there is one thing that united them and let their love grow. It is samba. And at the end of the evening Angela danced and Leon played drums. I remember that moment like it was yesterday. I was photographing Angela dancing and then, at a certain moment, this incredible vibes became a part of me and I couldn't stop looking and feeling. There are no words to describe how impressed I was! Samba is a manifestation of Life, it is Life in every movement and every breath.
Однажды мне довелось присутствовать на одной очень яркой свадьбе, свадьбе Анжелы и Леона. Это была международная свадьба, и я называю её международной не только потому, что ребята, а также их гости были из разных стран, но и потому, что в самой крови как жениха, так и невесты, смешались истории многих наций.
Но есть что-то, что их познакомило и объединило, – это самба. И в конце вечера Анжела её танцевала, а Леон играл на барабанах. Помню, я снимала-снимала, а потом в какой-то момент эти бешеные вибрации стали словно частью меня, я не могла оторваться от этого ритма. Сказать, что я была впечатлена и восхищена, – ничего не сказать. Самба – это празднование Жизни, это сама Жизнь в каждом движении тела и в каждом вздохе.
