Just a few weeks before Christmas, I photographed a beautiful family of four in their home not far away from Lisbon. Their baby had just been born, and it was his very first Christmas.
I know that organizing a photoshoot with a newborn and a toddler can sometimes feel like a challenge. But it doesn’t have to be complicated. One of the easiest and most relaxed ways to do it is to have an in-home family photoshoot. At home, everyone feels more comfortable. There is no rush, no pressure, and everything you might need for the baby is right there. The older child can play, explore, or simply take breaks whenever needed.
During this lifestyle newborn session, we simply followed the rhythm of the family: quiet moments on the couch, a little playtime, feeding the baby, and small everyday interactions that make this
time so special.
For me, these in-home family sessions are not about perfect poses. They are about documenting the beginning of a new chapter — the first weeks with a newborn, the dynamic between siblings, and the beauty of ordinary moments at home.
